Dr. Alexandra Chrysanthis is a native Californian. Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area she didn’t stray far after high school when it came to going away to college.

Dr. “C”, as she is affectionately known in the office, earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in integrative biology from the University of California at Berkley. Her postgraduate studies in medicine took her to historic Philadelphia where she graduated from the Medical College of Pennsylvania.

Upon earning her Medical Doctoral degree in internal medicine, she returned to Southern California where she completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at Saint Mary’s Medical Center, Long Beach, California.

Dr. Chrysanthis is board certified in internal medicine and a member of the American College of Sports Medicine. Now a local of the Los Alamitos/Long Beach area since completing her residency in 1988, she has an active practice of patients seeking care for problems such as management of hypertension, high cholesterol, diabetes and women’s health issues.

An active member of the local community, she volunteers her time and talents to sports both local and international. More recently she is the team physician for the USA Women’s Water Polo team having traveled over seas to Greece and Spain. She also serves as team physician to Long Beach State University Department of Athletics.

In her spare time Dr. C enjoys the movies and foreign travel. She is both a connoisseur and creator of art and crafts. Her life is full “and blessed” both in and out of her medical office and she welcomes you to be a part of the many patients that trust and rely on her skills and training.
